 The worst words I have ever heard.

Damn.
It still sucks.
I got fired on Monday, BEFORE I even clocked in.
WhatABitch right?
Here's how it went down:
I came in early to check my schedule, when the office door opens;
David [owner/manager-for-now]: Sabrina.
Me: Yes, sir?
David: I need to speak with you.
Me: Yes...?
David: Step inside my office.
Me: *oh shit*
David: Sabrina, I've been watching you for the past few days, and I've noticed that you seem to associate a lot with the customers and fellow employees.
Me: *no fucking way...*
David: And it seems to disstract you from you work...
Me: *too shocked to say anything*
David: And I don't think it's going to work out here...so...
Me: *please don't say those words, please don't*
David: You're fired.
Me: *what the fuck?!*.....
....
....
Me: Oh. .... Oh....Okay...FINE.
*throws hat and apron across his desk, storms out, slams door, walks through kitchen, tries to slam revolving door [i lost all brain function i think], thinks 'just keep walking, keep walking, no crying, keep walking!'*
Somehow, I manage to make it to the car. Somehow, I manage to drive myself home.
Somehow, I have to turn my shirts in before I get my paycheck.
I want to give them to David and be like 'Fuck you!'.
I worked in a fucking pizza place [Gatti's Pizza/Mr. Gatti's]. I was doing the pasta/salad bar. How can he fucking fire me for talking? The pasta was always good. The salad was always fresh. Fuck David.
What does anyone think of the situation?
Was I fired fairly? Or not.
I think not. I always did my job.
And I made the customers happy and feel welcome.
I feel horrible.

| omg, that is enough to piss anyone off.
i can kinda understand the boss's thought process of that if you are socialising with the customers you cant possibly have been working, which is untrue because you were indeed as you pointed out doing your job because the pasta was always cooked and the salad was always fresh and the customers were always made to feel welcome.
but at the same time, some bosses are just absolutely insane and think things such as this, unfortunately, so you have to live with it.
never mind though, you will find another job with better people and a better boss. just don't say anything too derogatory about this boss at your next interview as it makes a bad impression. |
