Female voice In TBS's "New American Classic"

06-07-2006 18:32 | 24 reaction(s) | add reply
I don't know why I'm making a blog on this but...

If you ever heard of the song "New American Classic" by Taking Back Sunday you know that there is a female voice about 3:20 into the song..

She says a few words.. but it's REALLY buggin' me because I don't know what she's saying.

It sounds like she's saying "follow me" or "f*** me".

Give a hear for yourself, if you have any idea what she's saying post it here..

Lol, man I've listened to it like 30 times in a row and I don't know what it is... "Follow me" is most reasonable, but I really can't tell.. Maybe another ste will have the answer, as I've never seen it in any lyrics for the song..

that really got me wondering so i used one of those audio editors, i suck at using it but as far as i could she says 'Softly' or something pretty similiar to it.

Is it right before the last chorus starts, right after the solo?

At the end of the instrumental part which leads up to the chorus..

You can hear it 3:20 into the song.

In all honesty, it sounds like "suck meeeeee"..

I'm sure that isn't it...but I think Spaz is probably right. Pretty sure that it starts with an "s" sound... Kinda thought it could be "So breeeeeath" too...

By the way, Spaz Mods amazing artists.

Lol that's not a female. That's them. Since forever I've tried to figure out what they say and I don't know yet.

I think it sounds like a female at the beginning, thne the males come in...

but obviously there are no females in the band..

I still think it sounds like "suck meeeee"... Listen to it again...It relaly does say that.

Either "suck me" or "f*** me".

Besides, they don't need a female singer in the band.. they can just add it in, in the recording studio.

That's what Hawthorne Heights did with a few of there songs.. they added back-up vocals to mellow parts and it was a chick..

But the chick isn't in the bad.

Yeah, I think it's fair to say it is "Suddenly".

But I swear to god in the song, it sounds like a chick.

But I'm convinced in the song it's a girl singing "suddenly".

Or if it is Adam singing it, they must have tampered with it a whole lot.

Some people say they're great live, some other say they suck live. I've never had the chance to see them but from the videos I've seen they seem good.

I wrote a kinda long review on Louder Now and I can't find where to put it on the internet, I might put it here but I don't know.

1:53-2:27. Cute with the "E."

What is he singing in this video? I can't make it out.

Haha my CD came with that video. It said they had to play the songs that way because something happened to Adam's leg and he couldn't be standing up, so they made a semi-acoustic show.

You mean what's he singing as in the whole lyrics, Curtis?

First off, I love that video. I think it's awesome...Hehe, o my MySpace too.
From like 1:53-2:27 what is he singing?

Right before he sings the part that starts "hoping for the best, just hoping nothing happens..."

He is singing words that aren't on the CD version.

Also, from what I've seen, Adam sing sbetter when he is sitting down....

but I think his stage presence is awesome, especially at the Warper Tour where he climbed on the roof and hung upside down and sang... Then somewhere overseas he hung from the roof like relaly high up and sang.

Haha yeah I don't know what they're singing there, it sounds like a remix. Maybe they just make up new parts for live shows. I like it, it's a nice beat, it should be on the CD.

And yeah Adam has great stage performance, check out the video for This Photograph Is Proof.

I remember that thing at warped. I didn't listen to them back then but when you see some guy hanging 20 feet in the air while he's singing you can't help but watch.
